The Barracks mission is to provide a space for the next generation to cultivate our sport and culture through Grass Root Programs, Community Outreach, Art, Events, and other Professional & Creative Services.

Gym Owners- David Ortiz Jr & Antonio Beniquez- chose the to bring The Barracks Boxing Club to the Chicago Hermosa neighborhood for it’s diversity, ample transportation options, community services, and city roots. Both being born and raised in Chicago proper- they’ve worked hard to establish themselves as young professionals, and successful entrepreneurs launching 3 small businesses since 2014. Having committed their time as volunteers and mentors in non profit organizations over the years, they understand first hand in the importance and value in the power of community.

The Barrackschi not only serves as an Elite Boxing Club- but also as the headquarters to both 1688Lbs Lifestyle Apparel & Acraft Guild.
